When I Overcame Being Overweight

Hello, Everyone! 

My friends, I was reading a CDC report on Obesity.  It’s incredible.  Being overweight, suffering from Obesity is a really big problem!

The obesity rate in the United State was 41.9% in 2020, and during the same time, the prevalence of severe obesity increased from 4.7% to 9.2%!   Unbelievable!

Obesity-related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and certain types of cancer, and puts you at greater risk for COVID related diseases!

These issues are among the leading causes of preventable, premature death!

My friends, many of you know that I was prescribed lots of pharmaceutical medications after my double stroke, and these “medications” caused me to balloon in weight to 190lbs.  This was totally depressing, but wait!  The doctors gave me a pill for that, too!

Being overweight is energy draining, you feel uncomfortable in your own skin, you loose yourself trying to eat less and move more.  I needed to stop this.  I had to make changes in my thinking and my lifestyle. 

And when I stopped looking at food and my situation differently, when I realized that this was all reversable, everything changed!

A few short years later, I’m back to wearing clothes I hadn’t worn in 20 years, before even having my children!  

Though God does not promise us a tomorrow, I am feeling better than ever, dressing wonderfully, and hitting the beach with my bikini!  My husband really likes that  😉
